Frolicking Fairy

We frequently spend an hour or so exploring the art walk near our house on Saturday mornings.  On this particular morning, Kenly played princess and danced after breakfast.  When we told her that we were going to hike at the art walk, she begged to wear her princess dress and fairy wings.  I was so enamored with my frolicking woodland sprite that I nearly walked into trees watching her play.

She's watching butterflies play here.
When we hike, Kenly is always on the lookout for mushrooms.  Adam spied this beauty, and we all had to stop and take a closer look.
My favorite part of the the art walk is a lovely area filled with fern sculptures and real ferns.  Kenly always plays among the art and shows us her favorite fern.

She almost always picks the pint sized fern tendril.
Adam captured these photos, and they make my heart melt.

This piece of art is actually an active bell.  We always have to stop and ring it.

When the fairy tuckered out, Daddy put her in the princess chariot for a rest.  On the way back to the car, she loved to spy the trail blazes (or yellow circles).  She tried to touch them as Adam walks past.  Simple pleasures on a Saturday morning are among the highlights of week.
