Easter Egg Hunt--A First

Kenly participated in her first Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood the Saturday before Easter. We practiced finding eggs and putting them in her basket the week before. She was a quick study. The egg hunt in our neighborhood is small, so it was the perfect venue for her first go at finding eggs. She did great.

These are the four eggs she found all by herself. She found two more, but other kids found them at the same time, and Kenly allowed those kids to get the eggs. It was sweet. She thinks she's so big, I bet she thought she was letting the babies have the eggs.
She just looks so grown up in this picture. I can't believe I'm the mommy of such a big, independent girl.
As soon as the frantic search was over, Kenly wanted to check out her loot. She kept saying, "My candies."
Because she was on of the youngest children in the hunt, she "won" a stuffed bunny. She loves her bunny.
Every time we drive by the park in the neighborhood, she shouts, "Easter Bunny. Eggs. I find 'em."
