Who hates heartburn?

Okay...it is 2AM in the morning and who do you think is wide awake? Aren't mommies supposed to be able to sleep before the baby is born? The cause of my insomnia tonight is heartburn and acid reflux. I certainly hope this pregnancy "evil" goes away after the birth of this child. Surely a grape snow cone couldn't cause all this trouble. Who knows?

I guess I can't complain though. I did take a four hour nap yesterday. ( I guess there is some mercy for the weary.)

Adam and I bought a few last things to prepare for Peanut's arrival yesterday...mattress pad, changing table cover, birthing ball, curtain rod,....it feels good to be almost ready. The doctor's appointment is today at 3:30, and we'll see if I have progressed closer to delivery. On Saturday we get to take the car seats to be installed. Thrown into all of this preparation is fun. We went to an Asheville Tourists game tonight, and tomorrow we'll be doing Fridays after Five in Asheville. So, we have not gone into total baby hibernation yet. I'm off to the recliner/couch to see if an upright sleeping position will help.

Oh, I understand! I had terrible reflux when I was pregnant with Luke the ENTIRE pregnancy!

And yes, it did end as soon as he was out!!!!!

Rhonda, I had the same experience as Sherry. I went through economy size bottles of tums when I was prego, and one time it was so bad (after eating a glorious hot dog) that I thought Seth was going to have to take me to the ER. However, I am happy to report that Maggie is 7.5 months old now and I have not had heartburn once. I can't wait to see pics of Baby Brand and I'm glad you started this blog. It'll be a fun way to communicate--though you might not have much time for it before too long!!

hey this is Jennifers husband Ben, i have it all the time, its probably related to alc. in beer that i like but usually cold milk kills it, if not i take it to the next level with a tagament. Can you take these when preg.? I coulnt tell you if J had reflux or not when she was preg. Anyways your site looks good cant wait to meet you guys and the lil one. I can tell you that tums dont so s*%#, so dont waste you dime, or anything like the pink stuff. Go with the Tagament or the more potent Zantac my personal fav, i usually take two and it does the trick for 48 hours or so. However this could be some supernatural kid induced heartburn that husbands will never understand if so just ignore everything ive said and consult your doc. PS red wine will destroy you, not that you will be having any right now but just for future ref. Jennifers husband Ben goodluck?
